3 Finalists Named For Open Moorhead City Council Seat

After the Moorhead City Council hastily appointed stay-at-home mother Melissa Fabian to fill an open council seat — and then rejected her in response to complaints about the process — the council tonight settled on three finalists for the position.

They are Fabian, insurance agent Daniel Haglund and nonprofit director Joel Bakken. The council will interview them Dec. 19 and pick their favorite to replace outgoing Councilman Jim Haney.
