ND Legislator Shares Gay Nazi Flag

State Sen. Janne Myrdal (R-Edinburg)

You have seen the gay flag. You have seen the Nazi flag. But have you seen the two put together? This is what it looks like:

State Sen. Janne Myrdal shared it on her public Facebook page.

The flag was shared along with an article titled, “The Forgotten Gays Part II: Is the LGBT On Crack?” According to the story, gay people are like Nazis. According to history, the Nazis put gay people in concentration camps.

Myrdal was a prominent opponent of a North Dakota Senate bill to amend state law to reflect the existence of same-sex spouses. With Myrdal’s help, the senate shot down the bill in a 31-15 vote last week.

Update: After we posted this article, Myrdal deleted the gay Nazi flag and issued an explanation:

“Recently I reposted a story on my personal Facebook wall that had an image attached to the link that I was unaware of; I have since deleted the post. As a daughter of a family that suffered under the said image, I deplore this image and I would never post this image on purpose.”

  1. Oh, FFS. How dumb and mean do you have to be?

  2. ” I would never post this image on purpose” So it just magically appeared huh? This wasteland of a State is being reflected well by these morons.

  3. So… the image was that prominent and she didn’t know it was there?
