Could Al Carlson’s Goatee Qualify as Illegal Mask?

House Majority Leader Al Carlson (R-Fargo)

House Majority Leader Al Carlson (R-Fargo) has introduced a bill to ban people from wearing masks in public places, supposedly as a safety precaution:

House Bill 1304 states, “An individual, with the intent to conceal that individual’s identity, may not wear a mask, hood, or other device that covers, hides, or conceals any portion of that individual’s face.”

The bill is apparently in response to protesters fighting the Dakota Access pipeline. But could it have an unexpected effect on Carlson himself?

The politician’s pink face is covered (concealed)┬áby a white goatee (organic mask). Sounds like a possible violation to us.

If the bill passes, we’d advise Al to be careful while wearing that thing outside. It’s just not safe.

  1. Al’s mask is one of the ugliest I’ve ever seen. I assume this bill would also force law enforcement from removing their tactical masks, trick or treaters on Halloween, and all medical personnel working in the public. Thanks Al!!!
