Burgum Says Nothing in Statement on Trump Immigration Ban

Our fearless governor

Recently, our nation’s president banned a bunch of immigrants from coming in. He banned people from the scary countries in the Middle East where the terrorists hate our freedoms. The list of banned countries did not include Saudi Arabia even though that’s where the 9/11 hijackers came from.

In North Dakota, Gov. Doug Burgum, who during the campaign clawed to Trump’s coattails for dear life, issued a statement on the controversial ban.

“In light of the ongoing terrorist attacks around the world, it makes sense for the United States to pause and review our travel and immigration policies,” Burgum said. “At the same time, we are a nation built on immigration and founded on the ideal of religious freedom. It is important that we remember these principles that made America the leader of the free world.”

Burgum, the ultimate innovator, has invented a new language: Burguese. It borrows words from the English language, yet is somehow devoid of any meaning.
